Filming finally commenced for Afar’s Proof of Concept on Tuesday 22nd April. A small, dedicated team ventured into the woods with a trolley of equipment.
“This is a major step for us,” says Executive Producer Billy Treacy. “After over a year of scripting, meetings, and location scouting, at last we’re venturing beyond pre-production and into production. Our day of filming helped me appreciate just how lucky we are to be working with such talented folks. The dolly track’s assembly and use were very time-consuming, but although we didn’t get as much done as we’d hoped, the footage we’ve got looks absolutely fantastic.”

Filming wrapped in the early afternoon following an unfortunate bout of rain, with another filming day due to be scheduled soon.
The Proof of Concept will be available to view later in the year. Following a review period, work will begin on filming the series itself. Stay tuned for further updates in regards to the show’s development.
