On 27th November 2025, filming finally commenced on a full season of Afar for scenes featuring Billy Treacy as Archibald Oakheart and the recently-cast Livvy Prior as Cordelia Tyde. Daniel Sherratt and Yaz Tyson-Carlisle were also on hand to lend their extensive expertise and ensure the show is looking the best it can be.

Somehow, it didn’t rain.

“It’s so exciting to finally get cracking on our full season,” says Executive Producer Billy Treacy. “Since we completed the Proof of Concept earlier this year and realised how gorgeous we can make this show, I’ve been itching to get cracking on with our main course.

“Our first filming day didn’t come without challenges, thanks to sand, sea and, well, sand, but the stuff we’ve filmed is just magical. Nearly 2% of our scenes are now pretty much in the can thanks to the tireless efforts of everyone involved.

“Daniel Sherratt, in particular, needs to be commended for hauling a trolley of heavy filming equipment across two sets of dunes. He probably doesn’t need to worry about going to the gym for a week now.”
