Executive Producer Billy Treacy says, “Afar appears to be a comedy on the surface, but this is underpinned with heavy and prescient themes. It’s a story about friendship and love and betrayal and entitlement and what people do in the face of the end of the world, whether that’s sacrificing everything or turning the situation to their own advantage.

“This is, by a mile, the most creative project I’ve ever worked on. We’re talking extensive location shoots across the country, jaw-dropping prosthetics, make-up and VFX, exquisite costumes, puppet builds that will fill the world with so much character…”

“And we’re teaming up with some talented creatives,” adds Executive Producer Daniel Sherratt, “many of whom we’ve known and worked with for years, some of whom we’ve been lucky to meet through this new project.”

This has always been a passion project, and regardless of how much support we receive, there will still be a show by the end of this. However, with additional funding, we’ll be able to build something even bigger and better, and your support would mean the world.
