The Frozen Wastes

The Frozen Wastes were once thought to be the key to the Hidden Continent (a massive land rumoured to exist beyond Afar), and perhaps it still is, but nobody has ever been able to find it, despite many attempts. However, during one of these attempts via a royal exhibition over a hundred summers ago, the people discovered something truly miraculous indeed: gargantuans. Not live ones, sadly. But their skeletal remains were discovered perfectly preserved under the barren wastelands of the Frozen Wastes. Hundreds have been discovered. Thousands more are still out there, but the terrain is so cold and inhospitable that many attempts end in death.
